Everytime I hear the song it speaks to me, we can look to everyone else to make a difference when the truth is we are called by God to make a difference in the lives of others as well! Teenage life,
Its crazy, ups, downs, all arounds,
backwards, forwards, upside down.
Spinning, singing, swaying, praying.
One minute it's all worked out, the next a rollercoaster.
You don't know which way your going.
There's laughter, love, peace an tears, joy, thrills, lonliness and fears, emotions, feelings, hopes and dreams. It's confusing, it's a thrill. It's crazy. It's scary, but it's all worth while. It makes you stronger. One step to getting older, maturer, wiser, smarter. You trust to much. You feel to much and it all goes splat or there's times you trust an feel and it turns out great. Who knows what will happen next. It is all a joy ride. You cry a little, laugh a little, get mad then glad. Whatever comes our way, whatever we face. We've got to admit whether we want to or not, we love every minute of it. Every challenge it brings. Teenage life can be a blast or it can be a bore. It depends on what you make of it as to what you get. Whichever path you take. Whoever you follow or if you lead. You have to remember your only a teeanger once. Make the best, don't delay. Make it great. Make it an adventure, a thrill. Teenage life lasts only seven years. Seven full years to learn, laugh, grow and mature. Teenage life only comes once. Make it a life to remember.

I wrote the above when I was fifteen. Now at twenty-one I realize even more that the only way to make the best of the life we have is putting God first in our lives. Only then can your teenage years and even after be the best!

This Is Our Generation

Boxing Match

Have you ever felt like you were in a boxing match, only no matter how much you punch and jab you still keep getting hit and hurt because your fighting yourself, and no matter how much you try to outsmart your opponent, no matter how much fancy foot work you try to maneuver you don't come up any farther ahead than you were before you started, you just keep getting lower to the ground and it seems like your not focusing, the bells going off you have to get back up, you have to fight, you can't let your opponent beat you to the ground, but the more you fight to regain your strength, the more you attack your opponent, you seem to just keep getting hurt yourself, why? Because your the opponent, your fighting yourself.

I have been fighting myself and have kept finding myself miserable, but have been learning a valuable life lesson tonight, and I still am learning that no matter where I go, there I am. Until I get to the point where I surrender everything to God, I'll never quit fighting myself, and y'all the way I feel, beaten up, battered, tattered, torn and bruised, from all my fleshly, sinful, selfish pride, I'm tired of fighting me, so I'm going to retire my boxing gloves, look myself straight in the eye, shake my hand, and proclaim the fight is over, because after all I'd much rather give God control of my life, and quit fighting myself. Then and only then can God use me in His battle, to fight with a definite constructive purpose and that is..."Put on the Whole Armor of God, and Fight The Good Fight of Faith, because the, No Weapon Formed Against me will prosper, because God will be in charge, leading the way. I would much rather be a Soldier in the army of God fighting the devil and tearing down strongholds and every wicked imagination, then to be facing an opponent that should not be an enemy and that is myself. Why? Because until I step aside myself, I can never truly have true Victory, if I am warring with myself all the time letting my flesh have control. I'll never reach the finish line and hear I have won the prize of pressing forward and forgetting those things which are behind me, but pressing towards the prize of the High Calling of God in Jesus Christ.

So let me ask you this question...got problems? Feel like your in the middle of a battlefield and instead of fighting with a purpose defeating the enemy, your fighting yourself because yourself is being the enemy because you haven't completely surrendered your flesh over to God to control? Don't you think its about time to take off your old boxing gloves, and let God give you a brand new pair, and teach you how to fight appropriately and that is in the Army of God, besides God might just teach you how to kick box and fist fight if you stay with Him long enough to learn His Word so He can prepare you for the real battle as a Soldier of God called to serve in the Army of the Lord!!
Incase you have not noticed, I'm meaning putting on the whole armor of God, and fighting spiritual battles, letting your feet be shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace. How? Having on the whole armor of God!!

Read Ephesians chapter 6 if you want, it is the battle guidelines to prepare you!

"Jesus Would and Wouldn't Do?"

Jesus Would and Wouldn’t Do....

I am pretty sure Jesus would not require people to come in Church dressed like a million dollars and He would not care if you were dirty or not, He would accept you into His service. He wants to know the condition of our heart, the rest is just material things that can be worked out later, it is not as important as your Spiritual condition.

I am pretty sure Jesus would not accuse someone of wrong doing, without first knowing the truth.

Jesus would listen and have compassion for others. He would not go blaming someone for something they did not do.

Jesus would turn the other cheek.

I highly doubt Jesus would get miffed and upset if someone kept interrupting His reading, writing, studying, typing, website surfing, etc... no matter how many times people rudely did so. I believe Jesus would treat them with respect and listen to them as if they were the most important person on earth and deserved to be treated fairly even though they were not treating Him fairly.

I am sure Jesus would not think wrong, complaining thoughts about doing the dishes, or cleaning the bathroom, or cleaning His room. I believe Jesus would do His chores with a cheerful, humble attitude and not moan, groan, and complain when no one was watching.

Jesus would not get sore at another person for hogging the computer, the telephone, the television, or the bathroom. He would love them, have compassion and patiently wait His turn, finding something else constructive and productive to do without mumbling under His breath about how “that’s just not fair.”

Jesus would not honk His horn at some slow poke in front of Him, no matter how much of a hurry He was in. Of Course, I wonder if Jesus would be in a hurry, I figure He would probably leave His house early enough to make sure He had plenty of time to get where He was going incase He encountered slow drivers, or fast ones who cut you off for that matter.

Yes, when it comes right down to it, Jesus would do things a lot differently than we as Christians do. We are suppose to be Jesus to the world. Come to think of it, I should be more loving then I am, and a lot more selfless.
When I think about how Jesus is, how I should be, I do not measure up quite as high as I would like, but with God’s help, I will get better and better every day. So what about you? When it comes to what Jesus would and would not do, and we are to be like Jesus, how many things do we do that Jesus would not do, and how many things, do we not do that Jesus would do.

Think about it, when it comes right down to it, it goes right back to the popular acronym W.W. J. D? What Would Jesus Do?

"What Do You Choose?"

I can be whatever I wanna be. The choice is completely up to me. I make mistakes. I stumble, I even sometimes fall, but I never have to choose the option to stay down. In fact, staying still on the ground not making an effort to get back up should never be an option. My number one option should always completely, wholly be to get back up, stand to my feet, brush the dirt off from my face, dry my tears, hold my head high, shoulder back, standing tall, raising my hands towards the sky praying, “Jesus take me as I am. I give myself completely to you. I cannot do this on my own. I refuse to do it my way. Lord, Jesus, I am going to do it Your way, no matter what the cost, no matter what others say. I will trust You. You carry me and lead the way. I will obey You and do as You require. Proverbs 3:5-6, Trusting You, Lord Jesus, You made the day. You’ll make a way, You already did over two thousand years ago. So Lord, Jesus, I am letting go. I am giving it all to You. I surrender to Your will. Have Your way Lord God, I pray. So as I stand here standing tall, basking in Your glory, because I am praising Your name. I rely on Your strength. Philippians 4:13 is True. I can do anything through You Lord Jesus, because You alone are my Strength. Holy Spirit, lead and guide me. It is time I do what is right and take a stand for Christ, so others will see Your Light. You are the True Light, Lord Jesus that shines ever bright, so everyone can see and do what is right. I am taking a stand. I choose You, Jesus Christ. I will not drown, I will not sink, I will not crumble to the ground, or bow to worldly gain. I choose to fly high above the clouds, soaring with wings like eagles. Isaiah 40:31 is True! Psalm 91 promises of safety. I will live in Jesus Christ and not die. All of God’s promises are true, found in God’s Holy Word.

The battle is real. I am a Soldier called to fight for what is right, shinning the Light so bright for Jesus Christ. Ephesians 6:11-20 our anthem, our motto, our Warriors prayer. We are called to battle. Jesus won the war. I choose the winning side in Jesus Christ, shinning the Light of Truth so bright, Jesus is the Way, the Life, God’s Only Son. I will stand with Christ, He is my Strength, my Safety, my Shield. Angels surround me. They never fail to protect me when I follow Christ, just like God said they would. I will survive. I will stand strong. It is true, in Christ, He gives me Strength. I will win. I am victorious in Christ. I am more than a conqueror because Greater is He that is in me, then he that is in the world. (I John 4:4) Jesus won the victory, conquered death, hell and the grave, and arose triumphantly on the third day.

Jesus, I will trust in You. You will lead the way. I can do this Lord Jesus. You are the strength I need, my strength and You will mount me up with wings like eagles. I will run and not grow weary, I will walk and not faint. Jesus, I lay me aside, I throw away every option that is not of You and Lord, I am focused on running the race that is set before me, forgetting the past, leaving it behind, i am focusing on the prize of the High Calling in You, Jesus Christ. For You Lord, God, are the One True Prize. Jesus, I surrender my life to You. I am Yours, now and forever more. My option Lord, is YOU!”

Friends, we can walk around in misery, playing selfish, pity games, or we can acknowledge the truth, we are nothing without Jesus Christ, swallow our pride and walk in the Light of God our King. The choice is yours.

Jesus is COMING SOON!!

"Put God First."

I look around and what I see is violence everywhere. The worlds a mess. Never satisfied, always wanting more. Kids killing kids over stupid things that is not worth it at all. Crime after crime, day after day. There is no use for it at all. When will we even take a stand and take back what is right?

We’ve got to stop the crime. Learn to turn the other cheek. We need to soar like eagles through the sky. Be examples of God. Treat others with respect.
How will we ever stop this mess, unless we put God first?

*I wrote the above when I was 13 or 14, maybe 15. Now at the age of 21, I feel the same way. When will we put God first? Jesus is coming back one day soon, why do we procrastinate today, what we may not get the opportunity to do tomorrow? There is thousands of people lost without Christ, why are we as Christians sitting still as if we have all the time in the world, time is short. It's time to stop playing games, and start sharing the love of Jesus with the world.*

If Your Happy....

“If your happy and you know it, clap your hands. If your happy and you know it, clap your hands. If your happy and you know it, then your face will surely show it, if your happy and you know it, clap your hands. If your happy and you know it stomp your feet. If your happy and you know it stomp your feet, ( a little side not, stomping your feet is suppose to be when your mad, neat on the reverse here!) If your happy and you know then your face will surely show it, if your happy and you know it stomp your feet,” then you know the rest of it, nod your head, turn around, etc... I like this version better, “If your saved and you know it clap your hands, if your saved any you know it clap your hands, if your saved and you know it then your face will surely show it, if your saved and you know it clap your hands.” Now, I am not going to type complete version of this song either. God reminds me of the verse in His Word where he talks about the fruit we bear. As Christians, we are known by the fruit we bear. Let me ask you this, today is your fruit fresh and ripe, appealing to others, making them want what you have; a strong relationship with Jesus Christ, or is your fruit rotten, stinks and needs to go in the garbage, and let God help you with an attitude adjustment, giving you some fresh fruit? My attitude this morning had a tendency to get really rancid! I did not want to get up this morning because I did not go to bed until early this morning, so I had thoughts of “Just let me roll over and go back to sleep,” but Thank the Lord for helping me get up anyway. I know my fruit doesn’t always smell good and at times, my life probably looks like I am following the wrong crowd, giving into my sinful flesh at times with bad attitudes. Even when we are feeling gloomy, we are not living a lifestyle pleasing to God, if we give into those feelings. The joy of the Lord is suppose to be our strength! (Nehemiah 8:10) We are suppose to let God be our joy. So why don’t we? If we had access to a billion dollars, don’t you think we would claim it and tell the world, or would we just say, “Oh, it is just to good to be true, I can’t ever have a billion.” Uh, No Sir (or Ma’am!) You would claim the billion dollars. God’s joy is worth far more than a billion, even worth more than a trillion dollars. God’s joy is easy to obtain. All we need to do is ask, receive, and let out life show it. So what is our excuse? When it all comes right down to it, we have no real excuse. One of my prayers for you today is that you will let the joy of the Lord be your strength in all you do. Never quit smiling. Never quit singing. Never keep believing in God. Never doubt Him. Always trust Him. God made the day, God has already made a way, His name is Jesus!

To quote a friend, “Smile! It makes people wonder what you have been up too!”

Enough is Enough

Enough is Enough and this is more than enough!

It is bad when you turn on the television and more than half naked women prance around on the television screen for Victoria Secret ad’s. It is ridiculous and indecent. Hanes commercials have gotten out of hand as well. Women in their underwear, and it is getting skimpier. There is one commercial for laundry detergent, two women are looking over a fence at one of the ladies neighbors, on the other side of the fence they show a naked man with a black box screen covering his rear. THAT IS TO MUCH TO SHOW ON TELEVISION. On the USA Network channel, they have a commercial advertising their character something nother, in the commercial is a man wearing nothing but his white underwear, and they show a close up and you see more than you need to be seeing. THAT IS TO MUCH TO SHOW ON TELEVISION!

I say, ENOUGH IS ENOUGH and THIS IS MORE THAN ENOUGH.

We need to do something and let the world know, “HEY! THIS IS INDENCENT.” Adults should not be viewing these commercials, let alone unsupervised children who are not going to change the channel all the time because they are curious and they are not always responsible enough to change the channel. Us as adults don’t always change the channels either. There are some children and adults who will change the channel, but we cannot rely on EVERYONE to change the channel all the time. WE HAVE GOT TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT THE SMUT ON TELEVISION.

Who has any ideas? I’m ready to do something....ARE YOU?

Let’s take a stand and show this world, “Hey! This generation isn’t putting up with the garbage, with all the indecent exposure, with all the wreckful trash and garbage they are feeding us on television.
WAKE UP PEOPLE....LET’S DO SOMETHING.

Warning: This is lengthy, please read if you want to stand for Christ and show the world Jesus is the TRUTH and the LIGHT, the ONLY WAY TO HAVE TRUE LIFE, and LOVE THAT NEVER ENDS, why? Because GOD IS LOVE. He created Love, He designed Love. God Himself, is Love.

There is a great website with a mission to serve God unconditionally and take back a generation, a world that is lost. The website address is www.battlecry.com You may have heard of Teen Mania Ministries, Acquire the Fire, Global Expeditions, The Honor Academy, Mr. Ron Luce. Battle Cry is a part of that ministry.

It is “TIME TO SERVE GOD UNCONDITIONALLY.”

We answer surveys, we do polls, we answer a million questions about ourselves, but when it comes time to take a stand and show people our faith in God, how many of us do, or do we hold back out of shame and fear for what others will say? I do not like emails that say, “If your ashamed of God don’t forward this,” or “If you really believe in God, you will forward this,” or “If you aren’t ashamed to take a stand, you will pass this on to your friends,” etc.. This blog entry is not like that. What I am saying is, we need to get back to what is really important. Is there anything wrong with answering questions about ourselves? No, and I am not condemning anyone, because I fill out surveys too but I have to consider, and it would not hurt all of us to consider, who is first in our life, who gets more of our attention? Who do we strive to put first, to make a name for? Ourselves, or God? If someone was in trouble, would you think only of yourself, or would you run to the frontlines, and fight to save the people who are trapped and need rescuing? I hope I would swallow my selfish pride and rescue those who are hurting. Friends, there are people hurting, and they are heading for the biggest hell we could not ever begin to imagine, where people will burn forever and nothing can save them, no water, no nothing. What are we going to do? Sit by and watch that happen, or will we get up off our rear ends and start spreading the message that JESUS IS LORD, and He is coming back. There is hope, there is an answer, and He is Jesus. Are we willing to win millions of souls to Christ? Maybe you are already taking a stand, maybe this blog entry is just for me. I will be honest, I know I am not doing my part for Christ, and that is starting to change. I want to be bold enough, brave enough, strong enough, confident enough in my walk with God to lay everything aside and take a stand for Jesus Christ. The battle is real, the call is sounded, what will I do? I am going to fight for Christ, for what is right. I am going to fight the good fight of faith, and win millions to Christ. What will you do?

If you have not read the books, “Battle Cry for a Generation: The Fight to Save America’s Youth,” and “Battle Cry for My Generation: A Fight To Save My Friends,” both books written by Mr. Ron Luce, please go out and get a copy today. God used this book to open my eyes to a lot of truths. Some I knew, some I chose over the years to overlook, some I was not aware of, but God used it to open my eyes and change my point of view and self-trained thought in so many ways. I will read these books again and again, so God can remind me just how important the battle is and how much it is not about me. If someone were trapped in a burning building, we would rescue them, or call Firefighters who could. If someone were being abused, we would help them. If someone was abandoned we would show them they are loved. If someone were being mistreated, we would take a stand and stop the bullying. If someone needed water, we would give them water. If someone needed clothing, we would give them clothes. If someone needed food, we would feed them. People need Jesus, will we tell them? They do need Jesus, and they need to be rescued from going straight to hell. They need to know Christ as their Lord and Savior. Will we help them?

This is our generation. This is our time. This is our place. We need to stand Firm, Strong, Bold in Christ and lead this Nation and every Nation to Jesus Christ. Some will lead, some will follow, many will turn away, but it is worth doing our job; planting seeds, reaping harvests and changing this world for Christ, one soul at a time.

Quoting the words of our Lord Jesus, "....The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that He would send forth labourers into His harvest." Luke 10:2

We all have a Mission as Christians to be of service to God, following Jesus, listening and obeying the Holy Spirit. We as Christians are in an Army, "God's Army." When you enroll in the Army, they do not instruct you to suit up, hand you a gun, and weapons and tell you to go do your job. No, when you are in the Army you have to go through Basic Training. You do not go out there with hardly a clue what to do and start fighting. If you did, someone you are fighting to protect might get hurt, even you.

We have to go through Basic Training. Being taught how, when, where, and what. Being instructed, having things explained, making the effort to be the Solider you need to be. "Being all you can be." Being the best you can be, and doing the best you can do. Keeping the safety of others one of your priorities. The same applies in God's Army. In order to be a Solider fit for our Mission, we need to know what God's Word, the Bible says, so we can teach others the Truth, not false doctrine.

God's Word warns us against false doctrine,

"Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but
inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do
men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so every good tree
bringeth foth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A
good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither then can a corrupt tree bring
forth good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn
down, and cast into the fire. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know
them." Matthew 7:15-20

"Now I beseech you, brethren mark them which cause division and offences, contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them. For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple. For your obedience is come abroad unto all men. I am glad therefore on your behalf: but yet I would have you wise unto that which is good, and simple concerning evil. And the God of peace shall bruise satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen." Romans 16:17-20

"For whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. IF there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds:" II John 1:9-11

We need to know the Truth found in God's Word. We need to know how to be a witness. We cannot just preach it, we have to walk in God's Truth, not just talk about God's Truth. We have to practice we preach. We may not all be preachers that stand in front of people and preach, but we as Christians witness to people everyday. We witness to people every time we get out of bed in the morning and start our day, by the words we speak. We witness with our actions, not just our words.

We cannot be a positive example of Jesus, being a witness of God's Truth, unless we know the Truth ourselves, knowing the Bible, God's Word; what God says in His Word, and apply God's Word to our lives. We have to go through Basic Training first.

We need a Solid Foundation, which is Jesus Christ and the Word of God. We cannot skip the foundation and walls, and build a roof. Reaching the top takes one step at a time.

So how can we be positive Soldiers in the Army of God, spreading the good news of Jesus Christ, and not teach false doctrine?

Here are a few of the many guidelines found in God's Holy Word that we are to apply to our lives.

"What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into His death? Therefore we are buried with Him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. For if we have been planted together in the likeness of His death, we shall be also in the likeness of His resurrection. Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that heneceforth we should not serve sin. For he that is dead is freed from sin. Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him: Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him: Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him. For in that He died, He died unto sin once: but in that He liveth, He liveth unto God. Likewise, reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord. Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof. Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled. For it is a good thing that the heart be established with grace not with leats, which have not profited them that have been occupied therein." Hebrews 13:9

I encourage you to read the complete chapters, Romans 6, Romans 16, Ephesians 4, Ephesians 5, Titus 1 and II John. Search God's Word there are plenty more instructions, guidelines and promises found within the pages of God's Holy Word.
Maybe you read that and wondered, "How can I keep from teaching false doctrine? How can I recognize those who teach false doctrine so that I am not easily lead astray? How can I witness to others by keeping and obeying the instructions God has given me within His Word so that I may be a positive influential witness of Jesus Christ my King, so that others may see the Love of God in my life and want to share in God's glorious beauty?"

We are called to be Soldiers of God, and as Soldiers of God in God's Army of Love, we are required to put on the Whole Armor of God.

I challenge each and every one of us, to put on the whole armor of God, by digging deep into His Holy Word, seeking His face with all our hearts. Christ is coming one day soon for all God's Children, (those who are saved) We as Christians all called to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ, to further the kingdom of heaven. To lead souls to the cross of Calvary where Jesus shed His blood so they could be free from sin to live eternally in Christ Jesus.

The world needs to know. It is our job to tell them.
We are Soldiers On a Mission. A Mission to Serve our King. God is the Commander. It is time we let Him lead our lives in everything we say and do, so a lost world will see Jesus through us. We are God's hand and feet. We are Christ's voice to a lost world. WE are the called, chosen to spread the message of Jesus love, His mercy, His saving grace. It is our job to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ.
It's time to step up to the challenge.

Teens On A Mission was started in May 2001. Teens On A Mission was titled it’s name because of what this site is all about. It is for teenagers of any race, background, height, weight, look, past or present lifestyles, etc… It is for anyone no matter where you came from, where you have been and where you are now. This website is for you. As teenagers you to have a mission. Like everyone, you are either Christians saved by the blood of Jesus Christ, or you are dead in sin on your way to hell. Either way, you are on a mission, whether it is for God as Christians being "Christ-Like" or on a mission for satan as a sinner. As Christians our Mission is to follow God, read His Word, which is the Bible. Fulfill His call on our lives, following in His footsteps, telling others of God’s unconditional Love and grace. How His blood still is available to save the lost, salvation is still for today. As Christians our mission is also to worship God, giving God glory and bringing honor to His name. Praising God in everything we do. That is our Mission. If you are not a Christian, then you are on a mission for the devil. It is like this, when you are not a Christian you are totally in darkness, full of sin, bad choices and decisions, taking others down with you. You know what sin is. Whether you know it or not, satan uses your sinful, unsaved (meaning you have not accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior of your life, admitting you have sinned and need the forgiveness God has available to you if only you ask Him, and receive the forgiveness that God already said is yours.) The devil uses your sinful lifestyle to get a step closer to what he wants. What the devil wants is to take as many people as he can to hell with him one day. Get the picture now on what our mission is if we are not following Jesus Christ, if we are still living in sin and have not accepted the Salvation God has for us; that Jesus paid for over two thousand years ago when He died on a cross and rose again to represent abundant Life through Him? If we are not following God our mission is to go to hell. That is not good. Hopefully you that are reading this have accepted the salvation Jesus has for you and know Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior, living for the Lord and on your way to heaven on a Mission for God. In His army of Love! Seeing souls come to the knowledge of the saving Grace of Jesus Christ! I know I am! I still have a long way to go, but everyday I am one step closer than I was.
